For the benefit of the Association of Women Artisans of Villa Padre NuestroBREAKING NEWS: Bayahibe - The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Dominican Alliance for Sustainable Tourism (DSTA), the Asociation of Hotels in La Romana - Bayaibe (AHRB) Tourism Cluster of La Romana - Bayahibe and Arte CUSECO have presided the start of construction of the Artistic Center CUSECO Villas Padre Nuestro.
Funded by USAID for $ 2,000 000 pesos, with the return of 2,000 000 pesos to the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the project aims to support the development process of the zone towards sustainable tourism, ecologically responsible, economically viable and equitable socially.
Since 2003, AHRB has conducted numerous activities to support the artisans of Bayahibe and Villas Padre Nuestro, in order to integrate the poorest people in the tourism industry to improve their standard of living, and of enrich the offer to visitors at the same time.
For its part, the Tourism Cluster La Romana - Bayahibe aims to promote the area and the integration of tourism stakeholders and their communities in order to increase competitiveness, quality of life of its inhabitants, preservation of local culture, the actions of the environment, and economic progress, to achieve the full development of this tourist destination.
