The Tourism Ministry will build infrastructures in Bayahibe

BREAKING NEWS: The Ministry of Tourism will begin this week the construction of a series of infrastructures in this community of the East of the country, with the execution of a Territorial Plan of Urbanization.

The goal of this one is to improve the structure of the tourist destination and the quality of life of its residents.

The works include the rebuilding of the road La Romana-Bayahibe, the asphalting of the access roads to the hotels, the rebuilding of the pavements and gutters of the village of Bayahibe and the construction of a park especially fitted for the buses which transport the tourists who are going to the Saona Island.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Tourism, Francisco Javier García, who also declared that a craft place would be built close to the pier of Bayahibe.

A program of signs will be developed, without forgetting the construction of a tourist information kiosk.

García announced the development of an international promotion campaign presenting places not exploited by the hotel chains installed in the zone, in order to draw new tourists.

This zone has extraordinary characteristics, a national park and tourist resources which raise the standards of the tourist offer that represents the destination of the Dominican Republic , he declared.
