Rosa de Bayahibe is Dominican Republic’s National Flower

Mahogany is the National Tree

BREAKING NEWS: Bayahíbe.- This Thursday, December the 17th it has been approved the Draft Law on Budget and Public Expenditure Law for 2010, amounting to a total of RD $ 378,997.5 million pesos, at the special meeting convened by the Senate.

Moreover, another project approved on second reading by the senators referred to as designated by the National Tree Mahogany and Rose as National Flower Bayahibe in the Dominican Republic, submitted by Senator Francisco Dominguez Brito.

The Pereskia Quisqueyana, better known as Rosa de Bayahibe, is a plant that blooms all year, for ornamental use and ecological attractions.

It is originally from the Dominican Republic, found exclusively near the village of Bayahibein the east of the country.

Bayahibe, is the only place where this species is, in danger of extinction.

Globalia Group opened a casino in Bayahíbe

BREAKING NEWS: Bayahíbe.- Globalia group has ventured into a new market, casinos. The company directed by Juan Jose Hidalgo, through the merger with the Dominican Empresas EE, has opened a casino in Dominican Republic, the Diamond Casino Dominicus-Bayahibe.

The establishment, which opened on November the 12^th, is the only region of Bayahibe and is located within the premises of the Plaza Monte Carlo at Dominicus, surrounded by 5-star hotels with a total of 4,500 rooms.

The new member of Globalia, Empresas EE, is a company run by Edomond Elias, who has over 45 years in the entertainment industry and a leader in the casino market in the Dominican Republic.

EE Diamond Casinos, Bars EE, Supplier Diversity and Maunaloa Night Club are among the group companies.
